  • Evaluation: Various aspects of the Global Fund. Contribution to framework document for malaria impact evaluation as well as HIV and malaria program reviews and evaluations in Asian and African countries.
  • Health Information systems/ strategic information: Technical support for HIS and strategic information for Asian and African countries. Contribution to guidance documents for UNAIDS and WHO. Estimation of HIV burden in various countries and modeling of lives saved by Global Fund-supported programs. Development of the results data system for the Global Fund and corporate results reports.
  • Infectious diseases: Research as well as expert groups/committees related to HIV, TB and malaria. Global and regional workshops on programmatic mapping and size estimation for key populations.
  • Strategy and policy development: Development of various organizational policies, e.g., operational policies and procedures, human resources, etc. Convener of workstreams to develop a Global Fund Strategy. Strategic shift of Global Fund investment in parallel data system to national HIS.
  • Donor coordination/alignment and private sector engagement: The Future of Global Health Initiatives and the Lusaka Agenda. Results harmonization for the Global Fund, PEPFAR, WHO, UNAIDS, and UNDP. Donor coordination on strengthening national health information systems to enhance impact measurement and on program reviews. Advice and support for NGOs and private sector companies.
  • Management: Management of multicultural, multidisciplinary teams; governance mechanisms; partnerships as well as donor relations. KPI development and reporting.
